By car: The main Istrian highway is the “Istrian Y” (Istarski ipsilon). Its eastern expressway (A8) connects Istria through Ucka Tunnel via Rijeka with Dalmatia and Zagreb. At Kanfanara it joins the western expressway (A9) running through the hinterland towards Slovenian border in the north, or to Pula in the south. For exact exit, follow the signs on the highway. By bus: Places in Istria are well connected by bus and there is a bus connection with all major Croatian (Rijeka, Zagreb, Zadar, Split, Dubrovnik, Karlovac, Varaždin, etc.) and European towns (Venice, Padua, Trieste, Frankfurt etc.). By Ship: Pula has a ferry line via the island of Lošinj with Zadar.
