Great Things to Do

Playa de las Americas is well known for its evening entertainment, but there are also plenty of things to do in the daytime as well.

Dance the Night Away

Playa de las Americas is teeming with bars, pubs and clubs. You will find karaoke nights, live music events and clubs which stay open until the sunrises. If you are after a more family friendly atmosphere then head to The Patch, but for a full blown party stick around the Starco Centre and you won’t be disappointed.

Beach Hop

There are six beaches to enjoy, each as beautiful as the next. They all have water sports available to keep the family entertained so whether you fancy a relaxing kayak along the shore or a wild Jet Ski ride you will find it all here. The beaches are lined with cafes to help get you through a day of sunbathing and relaxing.

Treat Yourself

The resort has plenty of restaurants serving cuisine from around the world, if however you are after something more authentic then head to the Torviscas area and sample some traditional Spanish cuisine. Here you will find family restaurants serving delicious tapas selections, fresh seafood paellas and fine wines.

Explore the Island

There’re lots of fantastic day trips leaving Los Cristianos each day which provide a great way to see more of pretty Tenerife. You can head off to the national park of Mount Teide which is no more than a 30 minute drive away, emerge yourself in a submarine safari or check out some of Tenerife’s traditional, rural villages.

Getting Around

Tenerife is easy to navigate with a range of transport readily available. The public buses are a cheap way for visitors to explore the island, most holiday makers tend to use taxis and hire cars as it offers that extra flexibility during your stay. The islands are full of cycling and hiking trails for the more adventurous and there are daily boat services hopping between each island.

By Bus

There are comfortable, air conditioned buses which leave from most of the main resorts regularly and stop at the island’s most famous attractions. The smaller, local buses are slightly less reliable.

By Car

Hiring a car is cheap, easy and highly recommended. The island’s main roads are easy to navigate and well looked after; the smaller roads can be somewhat of a challenge. Driving is on the left.
