Great Things to Do

Meloneras provides you with the opportunity to indulge in complete relaxation or enjoy an action packed holiday.

Enjoy the Beach

Meloneras beach is the ideal place to simply relax and enjoy the weather. If you’re not a fan of lounging around then there’s still plenty to keep you entertained; whether you fancy exploring the dunes of neighbouring Maspalomas by camel back or checking out the ocean on a pedalo – you most certainly won’t be bored.

Explore the Island

In less than an hour’s drive from Meloneras you could find yourself enjoying the cultural feast that is, Las Palmas. There are some stunning buildings to explore, as well as the former home of Christopher Columbus and plenty of museums. The city is also home to plenty of delicious restaurants and funky shops.

Make a Splash

Meloneras is conveniently near to one of the largest waterparks in the Canaries, Aqualand. The park has more than enough to keep both the adults and kids happy for a day. So if you like the sound of a thrilling ‘Tornado’ water-slide or the ‘Lazy Rapids’ then make sure that you don’t miss out on the action.

Put on Your Party Shoes

Although Meloneras may have a relatively timid nightlife, its neighbour, Playa del Ingles, most certainly does not. This lively resort is the place to go on Gran Canaria if you’re looking for a party, it has huge clubs and bars which will keep you full entertained until the early hours of the morning.

Getting Around

Gran Canaria is easy to navigate with a range of transport readily available. The public buses are a cheap way for visitors to explore the island, most holiday makers tend to use taxis and hire cars as it offers that extra flexibility during your stay. The islands are full of cycling and hiking trails for the more adventurous and there are daily boat services hopping between each island.

By Bus

There are comfortable, air conditioned buses which leave from most of the main resorts regularly and stop at the island’s most famous attractions. The smaller, local buses are slightly less reliable. By Car

By Car

Hiring a car is cheap, easy and highly recommended. The island’s main roads are easy to navigate and well looked after; the smaller roads can be somewhat of a challenge. Driving is on the left.
