A cruise on the Grandeur of the Seas is a very different experience to that of most Royal Caribbean cruise ships. She is one of the company''s sleek Vision Class series; handsomely-designed cruise liners built to cut a serious swathe through ocean waters. We at The Co-operative Travel have Mediterranean and Caribbean cruises on the Grandeur of the Seas which will take you to some of the world''s most exciting locations.
Grandeur of the Seas has an impressive spa and fitness centre, with a fantastic range of facilities available throughout the day. The ShipShape Spa features a number of treatment rooms where you can experience an array of classic and modern-day therapies, including facials, aromatherapy and massages. Within the spa there is also a sauna and steam room, plus an adults-only Solarium with retractable roof, swimming pool and whirlpools. The ShipShape Fitness Centre has a good sized gym with several different fitness machines such as treadmills and cross-trainers, as well as a free weights area and weights machines. The exercise area is used for daily fitness classes such as yoga and pilates, and out on deck there are sports courts and a jogging track. Don''t forget to try out the rock climbing wall too - there are several different routes to the top that range in the level of ease, and the views are well worth the climb.
No matter where you are sailing to on board Grandeur of the Seas, there is sure to be something to suit your every mood and taste. Out on the open deck there is plenty of room around the swimming pools to relax in the sun, or if you want to try something a little more thrilling have a go at scaling the 30-foot rock climbing wall instead! At night the ship is alive with music, theatre, and dancing. There are a number of themed bars to enjoy a cocktail or two in, and many will have live bands and dancing. The Champagne Bar is particularly popular for pre-dinner drinks as it is located just off the main atrium and has beautiful sea views. If you fancy your luck then head to Casino Royale, where you can play a number of different slot machines, as well as popular gaming tables like poker, blackjack and roulette. In the South Pacific Lounge you can watch fantastic cabaret acts, comedians and dancing, whilst the Palladium Theatre hosts the ships spectacular Broadway-style shows and musicals.
Operating at maximum capacity, Grandeur of the Seas, pictured, can carry up to 2,446 guests and maintains a number of popular Royal Caribbean International programmes including the award winning youth programme, Adventure Ocean, for children aged three to 11 and teenagers from 12 to 17.
