Getting There and around Sharm el Sheikh
Most of the all-inclusive resorts supply you with transfers from the airport to the hotel and vice versa (check individual resorts for information). However if your all-inclusive resort does not cover this then taxi’s are available, but be sure to agree the price with the driver beforehand.
Beaches in Sharm el Sheikh
The majority of the all-inclusive resorts have their own long sandy beaches, with clear blue waters and sun loungers. However if you wish to find different beaches then you can head to several small but stunning sandy stretches in the nearby Ras Muhammad National Park, including Quay Beach, Yolanda Beach and Main Beach.
Sightseeing in Sharm el Sheikh
Sharm el-Sheikh isn't big on cultural attractions and the main reason for a visit to the resort is to experience some of the world's best scuba diving, again in the Ras Muhammad National Park. The park's nutrient-rich waters attract tons of marine life and you can dive on sites such as Jackfish Alley, Shark Reef and Yolanda Reef all at excellent prices.
There’s definitely sightseeing to be done on the doorstep of your all-inclusive resort with a whole undersea world to be discovered. Whether you decide to go for the all out diving experience or to just grab goggles and a snorkel is completely up to you but the colours of the underwater world is certainly going to leave you impressed. Boats are also available to charter if you wish to see the coastline from a different angle and at your own leisure.
If you're not into your diving and more into the history of your local surroundings, you could trekk up to the 2,285 metre-high summit of Mount Sinai, to where God apparently gave Moses his Ten Commandments.
Eating and Nightlife in Sharm el Sheikh
The all-inclusive resorts offer some of the best dining to be found in Egypt with luxurious foods prepared for you, from all over the globe. If you would prefer to try the local cuisine then a Meze platter is not to be missed. A selection of small dishes that include some of the best foods found in this stunning country. From falafel (fried chickpea balls) to pitta bread dipped in houmus and koftas (spiced meat kebabs).
For the night tourists there’s certainly a lot of action to be had with Pacha night club a must see. It is recommended to head down to Ali Baba at about 10.30pm where beer is £1 a pint! One place where you won't struggle for your own spot at the bar is at Little Buddha. This sushi bar and nightclub has the longest bar in the Middle East. A not so cheap bar, would be the camel bar, located a 30 second walk from the Hard Rock Cafe, the downstairs area of the bar has a nice cool seating area with sports showing live. There is another bar with leather sofas and umbrellas to block out the sun and a view across Na’ama bay.
