Beaches in Benidorm

Benidorm is famous for its fantastic beaches, white sand and lovely warm seas. There are at least five kilometres of beachfront here. The busy Playa de Poniente Beach is next to a busy road in the centre of Benidorm, so if you fancy somewhere quieter then head for the Levante Beach.

There are plenty of cheap seafront cafes, many of which sell English fare, and there's even a beach library with newspapers and books. For something different, take a boat to the Isla de Benidorm, an island just two miles off the coast, for an excursion.

Low-cost sightseeing in Benidorm

There's not much left of the Old Town Benidorm although it is worth a little wander for its shops and boutiques. For cultural sightseeing, you might want to head to Alicante where you can walk the palm tree-lined boulevards, check out the castle and hit the beach for the day or take a trip along the coast.

One treat for the whole family right in Benidorm is the cheap and fun water park, Aqualandia. It boasts themed areas, waterfalls, slides and chutes. Cafes and restaurants also dot the park, which is easily accessible from the resort.

If you want to try something more Spanish, the best bet is the Old Town, where restaurants offer more local specialities and excellent tapas.
