Getting There and around The Balearics

Countless low-cost package and scheduled airlines fly into Majorca, Ibiza and Menorca several times daily throughout the summer. From all of the UK’s major airports.

Car hire appears to be the most reliable way to travel around once on the islands as the mountainous terrain means limited train lines. Car hire is easy and affordable from the destinations airports. However transfers to the all-inclusive resorts are usually available and included in the price, check with individual resorts for this information.

Beaches in The Balearics

The all-inclusive resorts offer close by beaches, with beautiful sands and glistening seas, the big busy resorts such as Palma Nova, Santa Ponsa and Magaluf on Majorca all experience a high influx of British tourists making this all-inclusive experience all the more fun.

If the popular beaches don’t tickle your fancy, depending on your specific resort, some offer shuttle busses to more secluded bathing spots. With high rocks and small coves there is always somewhere close by to sit and relax enjoying the stunning sea views the Balearics has to offer.
The best beaches include Cala Bona on the east coast and, further down, the resorts of Cala Gran, Cala Esmerelda and Cala Ferrera.

Menorca offers more than 100 beaches and leaves you with the only tricky decision of the all-inclusive holiday which is whether to try a small secluded beach with white sand and warm turquoise waters, such as Cala Es Talaier, or a bigger stretch with pedalo hire and beach bars such as Cala Blanca, just south of Ciutadella. The best beaches on Formentera are Platja de Llevant and Platja de ses Illetes - two gorgeous stretches of sand in the north of the island.
